Easy Outfit Upgrade: Tie a Ribbon Around Your Ponytail

If you're thinking the flirty ribboned look is a thing of the past, you might want to reconsider. Tying a ribbon around your 'do is a simple way of dressing up any hairstyle instantly.

But we're not the only ones who think so. We've spotted a ribbon around the locks of several famous faces, including Alexa Chung, who sported a single black ribbon around her pony at London Fashion Week, and Nina Dobrev, who went completely old school with a big bow around her half updo.

High fashion is also catching on to this easy hair upgrade. At the Nina Ricci Spring 2014 show in Paris, models donned a wispy low ponytail with a single black ribbon.

In case you're ready to give this upgrade a go, there are a number of ways to decorate your 'do.
